The Financial Assistant helps to support the Finance and Defined Benefits team. The position will bring new challenges every day with opportunities for development and growth. You will help to elevate our teams so we are better and more efficient.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and expense analysis
  • Perform routine and recurring plan administrative tasks for defined benefit plans
  • Gain understanding of plan design ( e.g., options, eligibility)
  • Assist with project work and other ad hoc support services as requested
  • Researches and responds to inquiries and requests of internal staff and clients
  • Problem solves and focuses on process improvement

Desired Skills & Experience

DB Plan Administrator

Indianapolis, IN

Our Defined Benefit Administration team is looking for an experienced plan administrator who naturally takes ownership of projects and tasks following through with accuracy and efficiency. Using your experience and knowledge, you will deliver high level service to our clients and help to elevate our team.

Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Prepare and review benefit calculations and forms for a variety of scenarios and plan designs
  • Ability to become an expert on proprietary and 3rd party programs including coding and testing of benefit calculations
  • Interpret plan legal documents along with general government retirement plan regulations
  • Manage and lead special projects such as plan terminations, lump sum windows, and plan freezes
  • Analyze and improve internal processes and procedures increasing accuracy, consistency, and efficiency
  • Coordinate with trustees to setup and reconcile benefit payments
  • Ability to serve in plan administrator role including maintaining proper compliance with required notices and filings, coordinating meetings, handling invoicing, and communicating with employers, participants, and board members


  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of three years of experience with defined benefit administration
  • ASPPA or CEBS designations preferred
  • Familiarity with ProAdmin, Crystal Reports, and SQL desirable but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems and the Microsoft Office Suite of products
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

We are looking for a full time Client Services Operations Coordinator at our Indianapolis location.

Essential functions of the position include:

  • Support customer service analysts by helping with complex questions and issues
